Recent Projects
Here is a sampling of our most recent projects. You can see many more of our clients on our Portfolio page. We help clients with a wide range of services, including new websites from scratch, complete website redesigns, site upgrades, creating a successful web presence, or changing or maintaining existing sites.
Jim Kuhn, The Paella King (creator and caterer of the best paella in the Seattle area), had an existing four-page website that was dated and not receiving much traffic. We set him up with an expandable one-page site using WordPress for a potential future blog, redirecting his old site pages to the new site, and focusing on Search Engine Optimization techniques to get the site found. The Acupuncture & Wellness Center, P.S., in Poulsbo is one of the largest private Chinese medical clinics in the U.S., but their old website did not function well or adequately represent the clinic. Owner Robert Doane wanted a site with a simple design and easy navigation, good SEO, a blog, and the option for future expansion. We incorporated their existing Flash videos (unfortunately the source files no longer existed, so we could not convert them), a “Local Events” calendar that can be updated by staff, and an expanded search function. Rolling Bay Automotive on Bainbridge Island had an existing, outdated website that was not getting “found” in searches for auto repair facilities in the area. They needed Search Engine Optimization and a friendly and function redesign, keeping the diamond plate background for the site (if you visit their shop, you’ll understand the significance!). We added an embedded YouTube video on the “Services” page and an interactive Google map for directions on the “Contact” page, along with printable discount coupons. Aaron Murphy of ADM Architecture asked us to create a new, search-engine-friendly website for him, featuring the wide range of work he does in the residential, commercial, and aging-in-place fields. The site is expandable with the potential to add a blog at a later date. We created the site in WordPress using photos provided by Aaron and some stock images, a lightbox-style gallery for his portfolio pages, and embedded video. SpiderLily Web Design was an excellent choice, and Brian and Myrna are a wonderful team. I had created a website on my own, and it was a good start as a “portfolio” piece, but I knew it was time to “grow up” my website’s professionalism. They worked well together and took me through the process beginning to end, keeping me abreast of timelines and costs along the way so there were no surprises. It was proof to me that “you get what you pay for,” and a website isn’t a place to skimp, but rather a place to hire true experts. It’s your largest “first impression” in today’s professional environment. ADM is pleased to recommend SpiderLily Web Design.”
